IIASA organized a side event at the UNFCCC Barcelona Climate Change Talks (November 3, 2009) to present the findings of its recent study on the impacts of the economic crisis on GHG mitigation potentials and costs.

The presentation of IIASA's findings was followed by presentations of related analyses with the IMAGE/FAIR model of the PBL, Netherlands and the AIM model of NIES, Japan.
