IIASA's Mitigation of Air Pollution & Greenhouse Gases (MAG) Program conducts groundbreaking interdisciplinary research to identify strategies at the local, regional, and global levels that protect the atmosphere while imposing the least burden on economic development.
The need to foster sustainable human development activities without constraining future economic growth continues to be among the most pressing of current policy issues. While this issue is of major importance at the global scale, it also has particular relevance for developing countries.
